Meet The Guys

Grant (b.1977) began playing rhythm guitar at the age of 12. Predominately influenced by the guitar styles of Tony Iomma, James Hetfield, Jimmy Page, Dimebag Darrel, Zak Wylde and Jon Shaffer of Iced Earth, he would over the next few years, go on to perfect his own creative style of play. In 1996 he joined his first band, Dominion and would go on to make two studio albums and play in numerous clubs and band battles. With the breakup of Dominion in the summer of 2000, Grant formed his own speed metal band SomberSlay. For the first time, he took the helm at lead vocals. With varied success, the band members relocated to parts unknown and “SomberSlay” dissipated.

Not until the spring of 2003, would Grant come to find his rightful place by answering an ad in the local LEO newspaper & become the Real Time frontman. Grant had to step out of the band in late 2006 to continue his education. Now, with his degree in hand, Grant is back to resume his spot in Real Time and looking forward to getting back on stage, singing the old stuff and bringing the new Real Time songs to a growing audience.

Grant’s recording credits include: Dominion-Decay of Time, Dominion -Battle of Eternity, Dominion-Bootleg Live and Unleashed, SomberSlay-House of Dead, Unity of Souls-Realize, Last Flames of Time (self-titled), Real Time (self-titled) and Real Time-Volume II.
